By Tollway: Exit at Roma Sud or Roma Nord, depending on which direction you're coming from. After the tollbooth, take the G.R.A. (bypass) towards "Aeroporto Fiumicino". Take exit no. 26 towards "Roma centro" and you will be on the C. Colombo. Continue until you see a sign for Via Ostiense and turn left into Via della Circonvallazione Ostiense. At the end, turn right into Via Benzoni and continue straight until you come to Via P. Matteucci, where you will find the Abitart Hotel at no. 10, on your left.
From Termini station, take subway (metro) line B towards Laurentina and get off at Piramide. At the exit, follow Via Ostiense for 200 meters to the intersection with Via Pellegrino Matteucci; the Hotel Abitart is 20 meters away.
From Fiumicino's Leonardo Da Vinci Airport: Take the train from Fiumicino–ferrovia metropolitana FM1 towards Roma-Fara Sabina, and get off at Stazione Ostiense. Follow the signs for the exit to Via Pellegrino Matteucci.
The 4-star superior Abitart Hotel of Rome is located in the Ostiense neighborhood, where a peculiar fascination for industrial archeology led the film-maker Ozpetek to set his film Le Fate Ignoranti (The Ignorant Fairies). The hotel is also in the Testaccio area, a renovated and stimulating Roman location where entertainment, nightlife and high-society coexist with the places and events of historic, cultural and artistic interest.
Cultural institutions such as MACRO Future, a detached facility of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, housed in the 18th-century structure of the former slaughterhouse, qualify this dynamic quarter as a hot-bed for new artistic expressions and innovative experiments in visual communications. On the Via Ostiense, a former electric plant houses the Montemartini Plant Museum, which hosts events, shows and artistic and thematic paths.
From the avant-garde to Ancient Rome: Convenient access to the metropolitana (subway) and the Ostiense Station mean that you're just a few stops away from the famous archeological sites such as the Circus Maximus, the Coliseum, the Baths of Caracalla or the Cestia Pyramid, which is very close to the hotel.
Glimpses of the most authentic Rome: on the other side of the Tiber River, which is easy to reach from the Hotel Abitart, you will find the Trastevere quarter: its atmosphere is lively and charming with picturesque medieval squares and cobblestone streets, trattorias, workshops and typical markets in addition to movie theatres, pizzerias and shopping to please everyone's taste and budgets.
Convenient access to public transportation also makes the 4-star superior Hotel Abitart of Rome an attractive location for business stays. The modern EUR quarter, easily reachable from the hotel on the subway, is home to many multinational companies, the offices of Confindustria, the ministries of health, communications and the environment and the PalaEUR (Palalottomatica, a multi-purpose sports arena). Accessibility to the Nuova Fiera di Roma (trade fair district) is provided by a railway connection from the Ostiense Station, near the Hotel Abitart. The hotel is near the Piramide stop on the metro B line and the Ostiense Air Terminal, which has a direct connection to Fiumicino Airport.
